Luke Sutherland: M SAIEE NTD NDIP EE ECSA *Pr.TECH IIEELEC

Started at Roschcon a division of Eskom in 2001 as a junior contracts manager responsible for design, installation and supervision of urban and rural 6,6,11&32 kV turnkey development projects, at the same time completing his Trade test in electrical and wireman’s studies, thereafter moving to a property development company as contracts team leader for LV & MV installation and maintenance projects on residential, commercial and industrial developments while obtaining a Higher National Diploma (Electrical heavy current) . Practicing as a consulting engineer since 2007.

Experienced in master planning urban development projects including high and medium voltage substation, infrastructure design, Building electrical design and energy management systems, township infrastructure and reticulation services. Electronic/green building and power management systems within commercial, institutional, retail, educational, industrial, film, governmental, residential and township development sectors throughout Africa including the completion of numerous PV and hybrid energy projects .

Chris Mostert: Pr. Eng. ECSA MBA B Eng. (E/E) BSc (Applied Mathematics)

Obtained his B.Eng. Electrical degree and Applied Mathematical degree at PU for CHE. Obtained his master’s in business administration at the Potchefstroom Business school.

Worked in Scotland for Scottish Hydro Electric 2003/2004. Gained electrical and electronic experience while in Switzerland, employed by Konzert und Theatre St Gallen (mid 2004 – 2007). Practicing as a consulting engineer from 2007 as an electrical Engineer on building services.

Experience in power electronics, electrical measurements, building electrical, Green Building & PV design.

Charles Pinto: M SAIEE

Obtained Bursary in 1961 to join English Electric in England. Returned to Johannesburg Electrical Department in 1963 as Master electrician/Trainee Engineer. In 1973 he was promoted to Superintendent in charge of transmission lines, substations and underground networks. Appointed Senior Planning Engineer in 1977 and in 1978, Manager of Planning. In 1979 he was appointed Manager of Customer Services, Manager of Construction and Manager of Lands and Rights. Retired at the end of 2001 and was retained at City Power on contract from January 2002.

Extensive experience in electrical infrastructure, township electrical reticulation, road and area lighting from legal to engineering.

Enock Zikalala:

Started his Electrical Engineering studies at George Tabor Technical College in Soweto in 1978. In 1979 he was awarded a bursary by the City Power Johannesburg as an Electrical intern and full employment in 1980. He was appointed as an Electrical Foreman in 1994 and in 1996, appointed as a Superintendent. In 1997 enrolled and pursued a Business Management studies at Wits Business School. In 2000, took over the as Distribution Network Engineer at Siemert Road Depot and later Planning Engineering.
In 2002, he was appointed as a Public Lighting Manager overseeing to the Public Lighting Network performance. Provided Strategic leadership and technical assurances to senior management and Operations executives. A past President and PR Committee Chairperson of the Illumination Engineering Society of South Africa (IESSA).

In 2004, he joined BEKA PTY LTD, a company manufacturing lighting Products/Luminaires and offering lighting solutions, as a Technical Lighting Director and joined the Board of Directors. Studied various Lighting courses at Schreder Academy in Liege, BELGIUM. Left the employment of BEKA Schreder in January 2016.
